Science of
Takra-dhara

In stressful situations, neural messaging becomes chaotic and the nervous system is exhausted, leading to a combination of fatigue, sleep issues, anxiety, stress, frustration, anger, and/or other issues.

This chaotic, rapid action in nervous system generates heat which is trapped, specifically in the hypothalamus (Sadhaka Pitta), meninges and cerebrospinal fluid (Tarpaka Kapha). This heat further affects free-flow of the Life Force (Prana) along the nervous system, which is responsible for all regulatory functions.

Takradhara regulates and stabilises the mind through its cooling effect, by improving transmission of impulses by increasing Acetylcholine (ACH), which acts as a mediator between nerve impulses. This cooling effect also gives the stability to the Life Force (Prana Vata), enhancing neurological and regulatory functions across the body.
