Your body doesn’t work in parts — it works as one connected system

That's why the Ayusha Deep Reset Method™ takes a system-level approach to Menopause— working with your nervous system, lymphatic flow and hormonal balance together, not in isolation. Whole-body care designed for real reset, not temporary relief.

Menopause isn't just a phase of change — it's a phase of depletion.

As hormone levels decline, sleep becomes lighter, energy drops, and the body doesn't recover the way it used to. Fatigue lingers, and even small stresses take longer to settle.

Because the symptoms show up in such different ways — hot flushes, poor sleep, joint stiffness, low mood — they're often managed separately. But the shift is happening across the whole system.

Not because you're doing something wrong — but because your body now needs a different kind of support.

That's what the Ayusha Deep Reset Method™ is built to give: deep, unhurried care that restores the whole system — helping your body recover more deeply, sleep more soundly, and feel more like itself again. It's the heart of Soma, our menopause immersion — replenishment and a return to yourself, alongside your medical care.

Most international menopause guidelines now recommend more than HRT alone — they back a holistic approach: therapeutic massage, stress reduction, movement, meditation and mind–body support.

And women are already there. Nearly half use natural therapies to manage perimenopause and menopause symptoms.¹ The instinct is right — it's just rarely supported properly.

That's what we do at Ayusha Ayurveda in Newcastle and Bondi: care for the body, nervous system and emotional layers a prescription alone can't reach.

Understanding Menopause – Western + Ayurvedic view

Around 80% of women have symptoms during menopause, and about one in four find them severe enough to disrupt daily life. It's now understood as a spectrum — from perimenopause through to post-menopause.

As estrogen declines, the effects reach far beyond periods stopping. Sleep gets lighter, joints stiffen, skin thins, metabolism and digestion slow, circulation drops, and the nervous system becomes far more reactive to stress — so you recover from it more slowly. Those shifts ripple into the brain centres that regulate temperature, sleep and mood, into bone and joint health, urinary and genital tissue (GSM), and into weight, blood pressure and cholesterol.

Here's the part that matters: when sleep is poor and the nervous system is under constant pressure, everything else — fatigue, weight gain, brain fog, joint pain, low mood — gets louder. Which is why good menopause support has to work across the whole body, not hormones alone.

Ayurveda saw this long before the language of estrogen. It describes menopause as a Vata-dominant stage of life — a time of natural dryness, lighter sleep, anxiety and reduced resilience (Ojas) as tissues gradually deplete, sometimes with lingering Pitta heat. That maps almost exactly onto what women report: fatigue, anxiety, hot flushes, and changes in weight and digestion.

The point both traditions agree on: no woman should just suffer through it. This is a major transition that deserves thoughtful support — not dismissal.

How holistic care at Ayusha supports you through menopause

Understanding what's happening is one thing — feeling supported through it is another. That's our focus: helping your body adapt to this stage feeling nourished and resilient, rather than depleted.

Our therapies may help to:

  • calm the nervous system and settle sleep

  • support hormonal change and pelvic health

  • improve circulation and lymphatic flow, easing fluid retention and bloating

  • ease stiff joints and tired muscles

  • nourish dry skin and tissues

  • support digestion, metabolism and steadier energy

  • lift mood and mental clarity

Menopause isn't a one-session fix — it's a transition. Most women feel the real difference with regular treatments over time, as the body is supported through the change rather than patched up after it.

What Changes Women Often Notice With Ayusha Support?

Many women who come for menopause support notice gradual, gentle changes rather than sudden fixes. As the body becomes more supported and the nervous system becomes calmer, many symptoms begin to settle.

Women often report changes such as:

• sleep becoming deeper and more refreshing
• hot flushes becoming less frequent or less intense
• feeling calmer, more emotionally steady and less anxious
• energy becoming more stable through the day
• less bloating and more comfortable digestion
• joints and muscles feeling less stiff
• skin and body feeling less dry
• feeling more grounded, more resilient and more like themselves again

From an Ayurvedic perspective, this happens as Vata begins to settle, Agni becomes more stable, tissues become better nourished and the nervous system moves out of constant stress mode. Rather than targeting one symptom, the aim is to support the whole system so the body can adjust to this stage of life more comfortably.

Many women say the biggest change is not just fewer symptoms, but feeling more comfortable in their body again and better able to cope with life and it’s transitions.

Real Stories, Real Relief

In your body, Menopause can feel like a full-system rewrite.

How menopause can show up in your life?

  • Brain Fog: Forgetting names, misplacing items, struggling to stay focused and feel like yourself.

  • Weight Gain & Low Energy: No matter what you try, the weight won’t budge, and you’re too tired to care.

  • Dryness: An overall dry feeling everywhere, skin issues

  • Hot flushes and night sweats that leave you sweaty, shivery and exhausted.

  • Sleep disturbance – trouble getting to sleep or staying asleep, early waking.

  • Joint pain and stiffness – “creaky” knees, hips, back, hands; fear of losing strength.

  • Genitourinary symptoms (GSM) – vaginal dryness, pain with sex, burning, bladder urgency, recurrent UTIs, pelvic heaviness or fear of prolapse.

  • Mood and cognitive shifts – low mood, anxiety, irritability, slower recall, feeling “flattened”.

  • Other odd sensations – headaches or migraines, palpitations, dizziness, tingling in hands/feet, burning mouth, restless or heavy legs, skin and hair changes.

  • Identity and intimacy changes – different libido, 'suffering in silence’, feeling less at home in your body, uncertainty about how to be intimate now.

Not all of this is “just hormones” – but hormonal change often amplifies everything else that was already on your plate.

These symptoms are common, but they don’t have to rule your life.

Where to Start

Every treatment plan is personalised- to your symptoms, challenges & desired outcomes.

How We Work / What To Expect

We usually begin with either a Menopause Consultation or a therapy session depending on your situation.

During consultation, we look at:

  • Hormonal stage and symptoms

  • Sleep and nervous system

  • Digestion and metabolism

  • Lymphatic flow and fluid retention

  • Joint and muscle health

  • Emotional wellbeing and stress

  • Lifestyle and daily routine

Based on this, we may recommend:

  • Specific therapies

  • Diet and digestion support

  • Lifestyle adjustments

  • A treatment plan over time

We work alongside your GP or specialist where needed.
Our approach is gentle, practical and focused on long-term support rather than quick fixes.
The aim is not to “fight menopause”, but to support the body so this transition feels more stable, more manageable and less overwhelming.

What’s involved in Ayusha’s evidence-informed holistic menopause support?

Our focus is to help you:

  • Feel more comfortable and confident in your body

  • Build strength and steadiness for the next decades

  • Navigate pelvic, intimacy and identity changes with care

We work across four main pillars.

1. Body-based support (warm, nervous-system-aware care)

Gentle, respectful bodywork using warm oils and slow, attentive care to ease muscle and joint pain, stiffness and “armour”, soothe nervous-system over-drive and support deeper rest and improve circulation and a sense of “being in” your body again.

2. Movement, strength & balance for joints and bones

We help you (re)build trust in your moving body with simple, joint-friendly strength work and yoga-style mobility tailored to your joints and energy. Together, these support bone density, joint comfort and confidence in daily life..

3. Mind–body / nervous system support

Using guided relaxation, breath, body awareness and gentle cognitive tools – to help you sleep more restfully and reduce night-time “mind noise”, reduce the distress around hot flushes, night sweats and pain and work with grief, anger, fear of ageing and role changes in a contained way.

These approaches don’t deny symptoms – they change the brain’s relationship to them.

4. Pelvic & intimacy-aware support

Many women say the pelvic and sexual side of menopause is the hardest to talk about. We take it seriously and gently.

Our work may include: Helping your nervous system feel safer around the pelvis, supporting you as you integrate GSM treatments, pelvic floor physio or psychosexual therapy from your medical/physio team, and exploring body image, shame, fear of rejection and changing intimacy needs through mind–body and reflective practices.

We stay firmly within scope: no internal exams, no promises to “fix prolapse” or “restore libido on schedule”, no interference with medical treatment.
