Our Story – Why Ayusha Exists

From lived experience of anger and pain, to a space for deep, compassionate care.

How Ayurveda helped me win my own battles?

Why Ayusha Exists

I know first-hand what suppressed anger can do — to your body and to the people around you.

In my teen years I struggled with anxiety, self-doubt, gut issues and used anger, smoking as excuses (or coping mechanisms- as they are referred to).

Ironically, Ayurveda had always been part of my upbringing. But, I drifted away from it during adulthood through choices that slowly affected both my physical and emotional wellbeing.

Eventually I realised something important:

My health was my responsibility.

Returning to Ayurveda changed my life. My gut health improved, my anxiety disappeared and I began to decode the deeper patterns behind my emotional reactions. Re-instilling the principles of Ayurveda in my life has helped me overcome my smoking and unhealthy eating habits.

Most importantly, Ayurveda with Yoga, provided the balance and clarity, helping me to overcome deep-seated anger issues. I cannot describe the peace it provided for me and for those around me.

The change was so profound that after a gym accident in 2002, I could calmly decide not to have my shoulder surgery and was able heal it only with commitment to Ayurveda therapies^.

Ayurveda and Yoga transformed my life.

At a deeper level, they helped me to understand the past, be in the present and simplify the future.

Yoga has given Spiritual foundation, clarity to my work ethic that: ‘Spirituality is placing well-being of others first’.

Ayurveda emphasises 'Walking the talk' i.e. Practitioners must first follow Ayurvedic lifestyle before advising others.

This personal transformation inspired me to pursue formal training* in Ayurveda and dedicate my work to helping others restore balance in their own lives.

That is how Ayusha was born.

Ayusha means one with a life of health, vitality and wellbeing.

Having grown up with Ayurveda, I see himself as merely a channel to spread its benefits, in purest form.

Growing herbs on my farm in motherland of Ayurveda-India- was my favorite go-to zone, before migrating to Australia in 2005. I still continues to grow select herbs organically in Maitland, for use in various therapies.

Today my work is guided by a simple intention — to help people reconnect with their bodies, calm their nervous systems and move toward a healthier, more balanced life.
I am grateful to Ayurveda for providing me opportunities everyday to serve, to make a positive difference in someone’s life, in a meaningful way.

The Ayusha Philosophy

Live Consciously
Be Free

At Ayusha, this is our simple guiding principle.

Most people move through life on autopilot — going through a set cycle or time-table, reacting to stress, carrying tension in the body and repeating emotional patterns without fully understanding why.

Live Consciously

Living consciously begins with awareness.

Awareness of the body

The body constantly communicates through sensations such as fatigue, tension, digestive discomfort, poor sleep or hormonal changes. These signals are early messages that something in our lifestyle, stress level or emotional life may need attention.

When we learn to listen to these signals, we can respond before imbalance becomes illness. Rest, nourishment, movement and therapeutic care become acts of awareness rather than something we remember only when problems arise.

Awareness of the mind

Many of our emotional reactions are shaped by patterns we rarely question- habits of thinking, emotional triggers and beliefs formed over years. When we begin to observe and decode these underlying patterns, we regain the ability to respond rather than react.

Modern psychology and ancient yoga both emphasise the power of awareness. Mindfulness research shows self-awareness improves emotional regulation, while the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali teach that unconscious patterns soften as awareness grows.

Awareness at a deeper level

Beyond body and mind lies a deeper level of awareness — the innate intelligence within us, the quiet, calm centre of who we are.

Referred by ancient texts as ‘Soul’, now recognised by modern psychology as ‘Self’.

At this level, living consciously means recognising that we are not only our thoughts, roles or circumstances. When we reconnect with this deeper centre of awareness, life begins to feel less driven by constant effort and more guided by clarity and understanding.

From this awareness, freedom naturally follows.

This is where freedom begins.

Be Free

Freedom is the base longing of ALL THINGS living.

Yet many of the limits we experience are internal-hidden patterns we carry within — beliefs such as “I am not enough,” pressures around body image, fear of judgment, or stubborn habits shaped by past experiences.

Yoga philosophy calls these patterns samskaras — impressions that influence how we think, feel and react.

Over time they unconsciously shape our choices and limit our sense of freedom in how we respond to life.

Being free does not mean escaping life’s challenges.

It means gradually loosening these invisible limits so we can respond to life with greater clarity rather than reacting from samskaras.

As the awareness grows, limitations soften and something remarkable happens.

In that space, true freedom emerges.

You begin to live the life that was always possible.

How This Philosophy Shapes Ayusha

At Ayusha, we understand that many health challenges are not purely physical.

Stress, emotional tension and nervous system overload often become stored in the body — appearing as fatigue, pain, hormonal imbalance, digestive issues or anxiety.

Our therapies are designed to address these layers together.

Through Ayurvedic bodywork and mind–body treatments, we help people:

• calm the nervous system
• release stored tension and emotional stress
• restore circulation and balance in the body
• reconnect with their innate abilities

Our work combines the wisdom of Ayurveda and Yoga with modern understanding of mind-body health.

The aim is simple: to support people in living healthier, calmer and more balanced lives.
