Not only as it is performed by a bearded man 🧔 (a dad joke), but due to the ancient Marma therapy which when applied to facial areas, aids in healing of some digestive and emotional issues, which one may or may not be aware.

One must experience to believe this.

Another difference is the Uttan- a traditional herbal face pack with special, organic herbal powders personalized to your unique constitution and skin type, is applied as Mukha Lepam (applying on face) to improve the skin complexion and luster, prevent wrinkles or treat pimples and enhance the skin tone. This is a facial therapy where the face is massaged with herbal beauty oils and Uttans.

After the Marma therapy, the face is treated with steam (in some cases) and Uttan is applied on the face thereafter. The procedure detoxifies, cleanses and nourishes the skin to enhance the beauty from within.

Facial treatments on their own aid to improve skin toning and some qualities.

However, as per Ayurveda ‘Beauty begins in gut’. What is showing up on facial or other skin can be due to Rasa-Rakta dushti or environmental factors. Ayurveda aims to cure these root causes through synergistic dietary changes and herbal remedies.

Therefore, Ayurveda facial may not show immediate effect the same day. Expectations about effects of Ayurveda facial and results may vary from person to person and more treatments may be required to meet one’s expectations.
