Ayurveda and Deep-seated Emotions

Recently many books have come out, many courses, seminars are being offered under the titles like- ‘Using Vegus nerve to heal trauma’, ‘Activating Vagus nerve’, ‘Healing with Vegus nerve’ etc. Some of these books are written by medical professionals and some by practitioners from different disciplines.

Vegus nerve is connected to many organs, as seen in this picture. It plays a crucial role in determining our psychological and emotional states and many common psychological and physical symptoms - from anxiety and depression to migraines and back pain are related to sub-optimal functioning of cranial nerves, mainly the Vegus nerve.

Ayurveda has said it 5000 years ago, what they are saying now about Vegus nerve. That our emotions, particularly traumatic and negative ones, get deeply rooted in various organs and by using various techniques like Marma therapy, we can free ourselves from these emotions that are affecting us everyday. We can also regulate normal functioning of our various organs using Marma.

With Marma Therapy, Ayurveda practitioners can stimulate energy flows in various organs to help release and free us from deep seated emotions, initiate deep relaxation, improve sleep, and recover from injury and trauma.

Not only that, Ayurveda lifestyle recommendations help maintain proper health of our whole body including internal organs, nerves and cells.
