Meditation, but how long?

People starting in Meditations often ask this question- How long should I meditate daily?

Well, the answer is not ‘more the merrier’- though it is the case.

If you are very new to meditation, start with 7 minutes daily atleast to experience some positive results.

As per research done in US army for use of meditation in treating PTSD and such mental disorders, soldiers doing 12 minutes of meditation every day found significant benefits over others who were not doing it at all.

So the answer is : 12 minutes each day.

If you can do 12 minutes each in morning and evening, that would be even better.

When I started meditation at the age of 17-18, I had increased my practice upto 4 hours every day. But they as I got busy with work etc, I meditate for atleast an hour every day.

But howsoever busy we are, finding 12 minutes every day for something this useful is not hard at all.
